An archiving project is under way to preserve the world's oldest continuously running webcam feed, a piece of internet history that has been streaming live images for decades. Tech enthusiasts are discussing the technical challenge of capturing and storing years of footage before the feed ends, and reflecting on the webcam's role as a pioneer of live online video.
Why now: The feed's age makes it a rare surviving artefact of the early internet, prompting interest in saving it before it disappears.
