Warner Bros. has issued an unusual response to negative critical reviews of 'Digger', its new film starring Tom Cruise, urging audiences to 'decide for yourself'. The studio's message pushes back against poor reviews and encourages moviegoers to judge the film on their own rather than rely on critics, a move drawing attention and debate online about studio pressure on film criticism.
Why now: A major studio publicly pushing back against negative reviews of a Tom Cruise film is unusual and fuels debate over critics versus audiences.
