Ukraine's Wild Hornets volunteer drone group says one of its interceptor drones has shot down a Russian Geran-5 jet-powered attack drone. The kill was carried out by the 1020th anti-aircraft regiment. The group says the interception confirms the design works and that test purchases are being organised to move the new-generation interceptors into serial production.
Why now: It is a confirmed battlefield first against the newer jet version of Russia's Geran drone, funded by public donations.
