The World Health Organization and partner organisations are holding discussions at the WIPO Intergovernmental Committee (IGC) on how traditional medicine knowledge should be governed as artificial intelligence increasingly shapes research and data use. The talks focus on protecting indigenous and community knowledge from misuse while enabling innovation. The World Intellectual Property Organization hosts the negotiations.
