A judge has set bail at £100,000 for a person accused of involvement in the 1994 Rwanda genocide. The ruling attaches a substantial financial condition to release while the case proceeds. The 1994 genocide, in which around 800,000 Tutsis and moderate Hutus were killed, remains the subject of ongoing prosecutions in British and international courts decades later.
