Hitachi Energy plans to double its US production of small and medium-sized power transformers, expanding domestic manufacturing capacity for grid equipment. The move responds to surging demand as utilities upgrade aging infrastructure and connect new generation, at a time when transformer shortages and long lead times have become a bottleneck for power projects across the country.
