Ādaži

Four Italian soldiers were wounded in a friendly-fire incident during a NATO live-fire exercise at Ādaži, Latvia. An Italian Dardo armoured vehicle accidentally fired a machine-gun burst at another Dardo carrying the soldiers. The wounded troops were taken to a hospital in Riga. The incident raises questions about safety procedures during multinational exercises on NATO's eastern flank.
