Wildlife rescue organisations are warning that discarded fishing line and hooks left at waterways can cause serious injuries to birds and other animals. Rescuers say entangled birds can suffer deep cuts, restricted movement and starvation, and are urging anglers to dispose of tackle properly to prevent harm to wildlife.
