The Warsaw Rights Forum has returned, convening human rights advocates at a moment when organisers and participants describe civic space as narrowing. The gathering is expected to focus on pressures facing civil society, from restrictions on assembly to shrinking room for independent voices, and to coordinate responses across the region.

Poland has offered to pay $15,000 a year for each US service member stationed in the country, on top of covering infrastructure costs. Polish Deputy Defense Minister Paweł Zalewski announced the offer in an interview, underscoring Warsaw's push to keep and expand the American military presence amid ongoing security concerns over Russia.
