Rosenwald Schools

A new exhibition in Tennessee examines the history of Black education and the Rosenwald Schools, the early 20th-century schools built across the segregated South with funding from philanthropist Julius Rosenwald in partnership with Black communities. The display highlights the role these institutions played in expanding educational opportunity for African American students in the state.
