British Olympic cycling champion Katy Marchant has announced her retirement from the sport. Marchant, who won gold as part of Great Britain's team sprint squad at the Rio 2016 Olympics, was among the country's leading track sprinters. The announcement closes a career spanning more than a decade at the top of British cycling.
