Antalya

Türkiye is preparing to host the International Astronautical Congress in Antalya in 2026, an event expected to bring together space agencies, scientists and industry leaders from around the world. The gathering is viewed as a chance to showcase the country's growing ambitions in space technology and to strengthen its position in international space cooperation.

Sixteen journalists have been awarded fellowships to travel to Antalya, Türkiye, and report on the COP31 UN climate summit. The program, run by the Earth Journalism Network, supports reporters from underrepresented regions in covering international climate negotiations. Selected fellows will file stories for local and global audiences throughout the talks.
